Sleek hardware design.
CLARiiON AX100 features a compact, efficient hardware design that incorporates up to 12 Serial ATA (SATA) drives in a 2U (3.5”) rack-mountable enclosure. A single AX100 array provides capacities ranging from 480 GB to 3 TB.

Flexible connectivity options.
CLARiiON AX100 supports Windows, Linux, and NetWare server platforms, with SAN, NAS, or direct-attached connections. An ideal complement, the EMC NetWin 110 is a simple, low-cost solution for Windows file and print consolidation—and Exchange 2003 on NAS.

Two models to choose from.
The AX100 includes two models designed to support your application requirements, deployments, and scalability needs:
•  The CLARiiON AX100SC (single controller) is a low-cost RAID solution with key data integrity features—such as RAID 5 data protection and battery-backed cache.
   
•  The dual-processor controller CLARiiON AX100 uses active-active storage processors, mirrored cache, and dual power supplies to deliver high availability and end-to-end data protection.

Integrated functionality.
Pre-installed functionality enables you to install, configure, and manage your AX100 easily—at no additional cost. A wizard-driven management interface simplifies array set-up and monitoring. Snapshot capabilities enable point-in-time images that you can use for backup. Virtual volume support makes adding capacity simple. You also get automated I/O path management across host and network connections.
