The CX500 is designed to simplify storage consolidation by providing simultaneous support for up to 128 HA hosts on Windows, UNIX, Linux, and NetWare platforms in SAN, NAS, DAS, and iSCSI environments.

The EMC CX500 offers simple, web-based management and online LUN expansion (metaLUNs) through the EMC Navisphere Management Suite, Array-based local and remote replication with SnapView and MirrorView, and dynamic load balancing and multi-path failover with PowerPath software.

Supporting ATA drives and Fibre channel drives in the same array, the EMC CX500 offers excellent price-performance and investment protection, and can be upgraded (data-in-place) to the more powerful EMC Clariion CX700 system.
